ROD4

Reference cables

ROD4 cables are the reference products of interconnects and speaker cables designed to reveal the full potential of hi-end class stereo components. Like other SEVENRODS cables, they are produced in process of manual assembly, which provides control of reproducibility and final aesthetic effect.

Reviews of ROD4 cables are listed here, products photos are available in the gallery.

ROD4 IC - multi-twist geometry type interconnects. This type of conductors layout was used for increased resistance to external EMI interferences, which can modulate the proper audio signals. We used silver-plated solid-core OFC conductors in FEP insulator. Conductors create negative and positive 3x1,0 mm2 cross-section wires covered with double anti-RFI tinned copper shield. The individual bundles are stabilized with polyolefin fillers. The RCA (single-ended) construction is semibalanced, which makes the cables directional. In balanced version the floating shield is connected to source chassis ground, directivity of cable is determined by use of XLR plugs. The whole cable structure is surrounded by PET braided mesh in black with green marker, which protects the cable from mechanical damage. We also used solid, silver-plated RCA plugs with teflon insulator or silver-plated XLR plugs from Neutrik, ensuring good contact with sockets. Solder connections are made using silver-copper tin. Available length 2x1.0m.

ROD4 SP - multi-twist geometry type speaker cables. We used silver-plated OFC solid-core wires in FEP insulation. Working cross-section is 2x4mm2. The whole cable structure is stabilized by polyolefin fillers and covered by protective PET mesh visually identical to that used in the interconnects. Cables are terminated with low mass Z-type silver-plated connectors or silver-plated spades. Solder connections are made with use of silver-copper tinAvailable length 2x2,5m.
